Shands HealthCare is set to move forward with plans to build the Shands at the University of Florida Cancer Hospital. On Wednesday, Oct. 25, the healthcare system’s board of directors authorized management to proceed with construction and issue up to $275 million in bonds to finance the new 500,000-square-foot facility.
