SHANDS LIVE OAK BEGINS PROJECT TO DOUBLE SIZE OF EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT
Shands Live Oak broke ground on Friday, Jan. 5, on a 3,200-square-foot addition, which will double the size of its Emergency Department. The new area will add six exam rooms, a nurse station, a respiratory therapy suite, expanded visitor waiting-room space, offices and a staff lounge. When the project is complete in July 2007, Shands Live Oak’s Emergency Department will have a total of two nurse stations and 12 beds, including two isolation rooms and eight private rooms. The six new beds will be specially equipped to treat critical patients. |
