The following procedures are examples of what may be performed in a primary care setting: flexible sigmoidoscopies, EKG – treadmill stress testing, acupuncture, colposcopy, minor surgery, various cryotherapy, injection treatments and/or nerve blocks, routine physicals, minor surgery, circumcision, dermatology, stress tests, x-rays, pap smears, urine analysis, quick strep A, glucose tests, vaccinations, minor surgery, shave biopsies, and joint injections. |

University of Florida Physician primary care clinics,
which include family practice as well as internal medicine clinics, care
for a variety of patient populations from birth to elderly. They provide
comprehensive evaluation and treatment, which is sometimes done through a
resident-based clinic. The residents are supervised by University of Florida
faculty physicians. A multidisciplinary team applies its knowledge
and skill to provide medical care, health maintenance, and preventative services
to patients. For the patient’s convenience, some locations have a lab
that is located on the premises.
