The nursing philosophy at AGH follows the Planetree principals "to provide patient-driven healthcare for the whole person--body, mind, and spirit.” AGH offers a variety of settings in which a nurse can practice his/her profession, at a place where quality and safety are at the center of patient care.

Shared governance is our framework, and nurses have the chance to bring their talents and expertise together to impact patient care delivery. Each nursing unit has a representative on nursing practice council, nursing quality council, and nursing education council. It is through participation in these councils where those who practice at the bedside have the opportunity to make a difference.
