The Shands standard of excellent care is extended to the home by Shands HomeCare. Patients may continue therapy services in the comfort of their home. Shands HomeCare serves 12 counties in North Central Florida. Shands HomeCare is the largest homecare program in this area and has a reputation for excellence. Shands HomeCare is accredited by the Joint Commission for the Accreditation of Health Organizations. Shands HomeCare recently obtained Magnet status. This designation is held by less than one percent of all acute care hospitals in the country. It is the nursing profession’s most prestigious national honor.
