Christine N. Hansen, PharmDChristine N. Hansen, PharmD, is a pharmacy specialist in Infectious Diseases at Shands at the University of Florida. Dr. Hansen received her PharmD from the University of Florida College of Pharmacy. She completed her Pharmacy Practice residency at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC and specialty residency in Infectious Diseases at The Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH. Dr. Hansen’s interests include HIV/AIDS and antimicrobial resistance. back to topKen Klinker, PharmD, BCPSKen Klinker, PharmD, is a clinical specialist in Infectious Diseases at Shands AGH and clinical assistant professor of the University of Florida College of Pharmacy. Dr. Klinker received his PharmD from the University of Maryland, followed by ASHP-accredited residencies in Pharmacy Practice and Internal Medicine at Shands at the University of Florida. He maintains a clinical practice in Infectious Diseases at Shands AGH. Current interests include infectious diseases in critical care areas and epidemiology. back to topLarry Lopez, PharmD, FCCPDr. Lopez is professor of Pharmacy and Medicine and associate chair of Pharmacy Practice for the University of Florida College of Pharmacy. Dr. Lopez joined the faculty in September 1979 after working as a community pharmacist and hospital pharmacist for nearly 10 years. He received his BS in Pharmacy from the University of Florida in 1969. Dr. Lopez is currently responsible for teaching topics in the pharmacology and pharmocotherapy of cardiovascular diseases and serves as a guest lecturer for the Colleges of Medicine, Nursing, and Health Related Professions. He also maintains a clinical practice site in Internal Medicine/Cardiology and is co-director of the Outpatient Anticoagulation Service. Dr. Lopez is actively involved in design and evaluation of new therapeutic modalities for management of hypertension, congestive heart failure, and myocardial ischemia. back to topJoanne J. Orrick, PharmD, BCPSPrior to her current position, Dr. Orrick practiced as a clinical pharmacy specialist in Infectious Diseases at Shands at the University of Florida. Dr. Orrick is currently funded through the Ryan White Care Act to provide pharmaceutical care to HIV-infected in the rural clinics in the North Central Florida area. Dr. Orrick also provides care to patients in the University of Florida Infectious Diseases clinic and is coordinator of the pharmacy initiative for the Florida/Caribbean AIDS Education and Training Center (AETC). She provides training on HIV-related topics to pharmacists and other healthcare providers around the region. She is co-editor of the HIVCarelink, the monthly fax newsletter of the Florida/Caribbean AETC as well as antiretroviral pocket cards and other resources available through the Florida/Caribbean AETC. back to topAmy F. Rosenberg, PharmD, BCPSAmy F. Rosenberg, PharmD, BCPS, is the pharmacy specialist in Organ Transplantation at Shands at the University of Florida, clinical assistant professor at the University of Florida College of Pharmacy, and co-director of Shands’ PGY1 Residency program. Dr. Rosenberg received her PharmD from the University of Florida College of Pharmacy. She completed her Pharmacy Practice residency and Specialty residency in organ transplantation at the University of North Carolina Hospital and served as clinical instructor at the University of North Carolina School of Pharmacy. Amy is board-certified in pharmacotherapy, and her interests include pharmacotherapy in solid organ transplant and transplant infectious diseases. Amy is a past president of the North Central Florida Society of Health Systems Pharmacists (NCFSHP). back to topBen Staley, PharmDBen Staley, PharmD, is a clinical specialist in Infectious Diseases at Shands at the University of Florida and is clinical assistant professor of the University of Florida College of Pharmacy. Dr. Staley received his PharmD degree from the University of Florida. He completed his Pharmacy Practice residency at the University of Colorado Hospital and his Internal Medicine Specialty residency at Shands at the University of Florida. He has been with Shands since 2003. He is currently the antimicrobial management pharmacist for the Anti-Infective Stewardship service.
