Administration Preceptor Information
Kelli Hosey, PharmDKelli Hosey, PharmD, a graduate of the University of Mississippi, is coordinator for Sterile and Non Sterile Preparation at Shands at the University of Florida. She oversees the compounding of intravenous medications as well as the compounding and prepackaging of oral tablets and liquids. Kelli has been in hospital pharmacy for 10 years, serving as a staff pharmacist during the first five years and as an IV room pharmacist during the second five years. She recently accepted the coordinator position and now oversees the IV Room and Oral Prepack areas. back to topThomas Johns, PharmD, BCPSThomas Johns, PharmD, is the manager of Clinical Operations at Shands at the University of Florida and clinical assistant professor of the University of Florida College of Pharmacy. Dr. Johns received his PharmD from the University of Florida, followed by an ASHP-accredited specialty residency in Adult Internal Medicine at the VA Medical Center in Gainesville, Florida. Dr. Johns is board-certified in pharmacotherapy. Dr. Johns is a past president of the Florida Society of Health-System Pharmacists. back to topRobert A. Kilroy, PharmD, BCPSRobert A. Kilroy, PharmD, is the coordinator of Pharmaceutical Resource Utilization at Shands at the University of Florida and clinical associate professor in the departments of Pharmacy Practice and Pharmacy Health Care Administration at the University of Florida College of Pharmacy. Dr. Kilroy is responsible for pharmaceutical contracts, management of drug purchasing, regulatory compliance, and pharmaceutical resource utilization. Dr. Kilroy is also the consultant pharmacist for Shands' Ambulatory Dialysis Center and Shands Florida Surgical Center. He is a board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist. His clinical practice site for training pharmacy students and residents is the Shands' Anticoagulation Clinic. He received both his BS in Pharmacy and his PharmD from Purdue University. back to topAlan K. Knudsen, MSAlan K. Knudsen, MS, is the director of Pharmacy Services at Shands at the University of Florida and assistant dean of the University of Florida College of Pharmacy. Mr. Knudsen received his BS in Pharmacy from the University of Utah College of Pharmacy, a Master of Science at the University of Maryland, and an ASHP residency at the University of Maryland Hospital. Previous positions at Shands include senior pharmacist for Decentralized Services, supervisor of IV Therapy, and assistant director of Pharmacy Services. His current practice interests include information support for pharmacy services; development of innovative practice models, which demonstrate the value of Pharmacy Services; and automation of medication systems. back to topG. Brad Tornwall, RPhG. Brad Tornwall, RPh, serves as coordinator of the Pediatric Pharmacy Satellite at Shands at the University of Florida. Brad received his BS from the University of Florida in 1983. He has since been with Shands. He spent much of the past 24 years as a staff level pharmacist specializing in pediatric intensive care. He has recently taken on the role of coordinator in the pediatric satellite areas. His current interests center primarily around improving systems with the goal of optimizing patient care. back to top |
